Das Spiel ist sehr kooperativ und improvisiert. Die Spieler haben einen großen Einfluss auf die Welt und können Elemente in die Narration einbringen, die niemand – nicht einmal der Spielleiter – erwartet hat. Das Spiel läuft am besten, wenn sich jeder wohlfühlt und seine Ideen einbringt.
Die Charaktere werden wahrscheinlich sterben. Das ist nicht der Anfang der Geschichte der Charaktere – es ist das Ende. Alle müssen damit einverstanden sein, dass ihre Charaktere sterben und die anderen Charaktere mit in den Abgrund ziehen.
Es wird das Abenteuer The Flocculent Cathedral (Die Flockenkathedrale) gespielt. Dort kommen Themen wie Alkohol, Body Horror, Ertrinken, Insekten und Spinnen, psychische und physische Manipulation sowie missbräuchliche Religion vor. Eine besonders große Rolle spielen Infektionen durch Moos und Pilze.
Sollte ggf. noch Zeit übrig bleiben, wird ebenso Gift of the Sea (Geschenk des Meeres) angeboten. Dort kommt ebenfalls Body Horror, Ertrinken und missbräuchliche Religion vor, aber auch Haie, Stürme und gekenterte Schiffe. Zentrales Thema sind die Gezeiten.
